The St. Elizabeth Infirmary in Santa Cruz is now benefiting from well needed gifts donated by Friends of the Good Shepherd of Montego Bay.
The gifts including a brand new washing machine, detergent, toiletries, an industrial blender, and kitchen utensils valued at over US$2,000.00 were handed over to the Matron of the infirmary recently.
Chairman of the Council and Mayor of Black River Everton Fisher was also present to welcome the visitors and accepted some of the gifts on behalf of the Infirmary. In acknowledging the group for their out to the Infirmary, the Mayor says the residents of the infirmary are people who have been left behind and it is a wonderful day for them. He also said, as the Infirmary goes forward it will be a one of a kind institution.
Matron Joycelyn Bryan was naturally very happy for the donation and thanked the members of the Good Shepherd group.
