The team which departed the Norman Manley internationally Airport in Kingston on April 8, 2014 for Shanghai China will spend the next three weeks at the University of Science and Technology in Suzhou as part of a training course in Water supply and Waste Water Treatment Technology.

The invitation which was extended from the Government of China through the Ministry of Water and Housing was gladly accepted by the Council as it is now facing several water difficulties within the parish

PDC Parish Manager Mr Dramaine Jones says the invitation was extended at the right time, as the PDC and the St. Elizabeth Parish Council is now in the process of completing the second leg of the Local Development Sustainable Development Plan and the expertise is needed to effectively develop and manager waste water system within the parish.

The team will return to Jamaica during the first week of May, 2014
